Did you know on any given day 38% of people are eligible to donate blood? Do you know how many actually do? Only 8% of people donate blood
We need help creating a positive experience for those 8% of blood donors.
This volunteer opportunity, also known as a donor ambassador, helps at our blood donor center in Washington, MO. You will help to provide a warm and friendly greeting, take the temperatures as the blood donors enter, assist with reception and hospitality and enhance the blood donor experience. The importance is to provide the blood donors with a positive experience and encourage to donate regularly.
This is a great opportunity to meet some incredible people...our blood donors and staff.
Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. During #COVID19, life's emergencies haven’t stopped - and neither does the work of the American Red Cross. You can help! Be part of our mission to support blood drives and you can help save lives.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether itﾒs one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member or through the generosity of blood donors, providing critical blood to people in need, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
