Mission: Step Up's mission is to deliver compassionate support to individuals experiencing mental health conditions and chronic homelessness. While many of us shelter at home, Step Up's staff delivers frontline support to our members including street outreach, medicine, counseling, and food delivery while connecting them with housing and the keys to their own apartment. With your donation of vital supplies, Step Up essential outreach teams can continue to get more individuals off the streets and into safe housing.

Impact: Your volunteer efforts will contribute to the hygiene and safety of our members experiencing homelessness and assist our teams as they provide housing and support. We have teams urgently in need of these essential hygiene supplies to provide to members during outreach and move-in. So far, Step Up housed over 300 members during the pandemic and each member benefitted from one of these kits along their journey to being housed.

Contents of 1 kit:

• Shampoo
• 1 toothbrush & toothpaste
• 1-2 bars of soap
• *Feminine Hygiene pads separately
• 1-2 packs of tissues
• 1 hand sanitizer
• 1 shaving cream
• 1 razor
• 1 pack wet wipes
• 1 hair brush or comb
• 1 large Ziploc bag to hold items

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: When you express interest for this opportunity, we will follow up with information on how to schedule a donation drop-off or order items online.

Requirements: Upon receiving instructions for the donation drive, please look closely at the guidelines for delivery and organization of kits so that staff can distribute these items as efficiently as possible.
