Navian Hawaii, formerly Hospice Hawaii, is looking for empathic and sensitive volunteers to provide support for the bereavement team.
Duties include assisting with check-in calls to family members and assisting with bereavement mailings. There may be opportunities to assist the Bereavement Counselor with events including memorial services, workshops and support groups. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible. You'll report to the Volunteer Coordinator and work under the direction of the Bereavement Counselor.
Hours are generally Mondays through Fridays, from 8am-4:30pm. May include after hours work including weekdays and holidays as needed. We are willing to work with your schedule.
If this sounds like an opportunity you'd like to be involved in, please submit a volunteer application through our website: www.navianhawaii.org/volunteer.
As Hospice Hawaii, we provided Hospice Care at journey’s end. Now as Navian Hawaii, we provide care for every life journey. Our company is comprised of two distinct service lines: Navian Hospice Hawaii, serving hospice patients, and Navian Integrated Care Hawaii, serving patients who are still receiving curative treatment.
Navian is a combination of words "Navigator" and "Guardian." As a navigator, we provide clarity and guidance through times of uncertainty. As a guardian, we care for people and protect their wishes. Navian Hawaii is here to guide and assist patients and their families through difficult times, providing Integrated Care to patients battling serious illnesses or delivering Hospice Care to patients nearing their end-of-life journey.
