Wagging Dog Rescue

Hey there!

We are an all volunteer-run, small, but MIGHTY animal rescue based in Southern California (with a chapter in Denver, CO, too!), looking to expand our leadership team by bringing in a new volunteer or two to take charge of the networking of our available orphans on Craigslist, RescueGroups, PetFinder! COULD THAT BE YOU?! We hope so!!

This spot would entail:

  • crafting posts for websites and posting them up in the appropriate areas within the platform,
  • managing active posts by renewing them as often as possible,
  • editing posts for clarity and to expand the reach of the content,
  • working with other lead volunteers and experienced fosters to garner pertinent information on the animal that is being written about and posted,
  • potentially joining monthly Zoom meetings in which you will be responsible for giving updates about the listings / posts you've crafted, and be open to discussing ways in which they can be improved with the rest of the team.
We are open to one volunteer handling all 3 platforms, or 3 separate volunteers each handling one platform. Either way, we’re looking for a committed volunteer with enough time and passion to join our leadership team. You’d be working closely with several other pawesome volunteers who keep Wagging Dog Rescue running on the daily. We stay in touch via email, text, phone, Zoom, etc. 2020 has been an incredibly busy year for WDR and we’ve learned to put our technology to work for us and the critters. (That said, we know there’s always room for improvement!)

Are you ready to eat, sleep and live-love-laugh RESCUE? We want to find someone who’s ready to jump head first into running a small but mighty nonprofit. Someone who has the time and energy to be actively and daily involved; who has the passion and interest to learn about our animals, our work, and our public supporters. We have an incredible leadership team that’s just missing a key animal-loving person. Is that you? Get in touch and let’s chat! We’re ready to kiss 2020 goodbye and start the New Year off with the missing piece of our rescue puzzle! https://waggingdog.org/resources/volunteer-application/ https://waggingdog.org **Please note - this position can be remote.
