Summary

We are looking for a volunteer who can widely expand Straight Talk’s presence and visibility on popular social media sites. A successful candidate will be someone with a strong understanding of the digital media landscape who can conceptualize and lead innovative, interactive campaigns. A background in social and digital marketing is welcomed, but not required. Our mission is to deliver quality, compassionate mental health services to all who might need them-and the Social Media volunteer is the perfect partner to share that vision with others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage agency’s social media accounts and publish relevant content
• Engage with clients and the public digitally in a manner that promotes engagement
• Brainstorm campaign ideas to capitalize on the latest trends in social media
• Utilize analytics to gauge the activity sparked by campaigns
• Perform research to find stories, facts, articles, or other content to post
• Complete other digital media projects as assigned

Requirements

• Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Respect and maintain the confidentiality of Straight Talk Clinic’s volunteers, partners, and donors
• Familiarity with social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Yelp
• Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo and video editing and internet browsers
• Must be a self-starter who is comfortable both taking initiative and working in collaboration
