Summary

We are looking for a volunteer to help us maintain and update our website ( straighttalkcounseling.org ). Our website is very often the first impression clients have of us, so it’s imperative that our site is aesthetically consistent, clean, and easy to navigate. The Web Maintenance volunteer will help design the flow of content on our pages and tabs, and curate visual content. They’ll also update the content, graphics, and displayed information periodically according to the agency’s needs. Graphic design or coding experience is welcome, but not required for this position! All that is needed is a commitment to organization and an open mind to feedback.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an overall website content blueprint
• Maintain a professional look to the website by standardizing image and text size
• Help streamline the order and appearance of content that appears while scrolling
• Decide and maintain continuity of themes and color palettes

Requirements

• Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of Straight Talk Clinic’s volunteers, partners, and donors
• Must be familiar with, or willing to learn, Wix site features and functions
• Must have some familiarity with basic photo and video editing
• Understanding of design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator welcomed
