Start Bright Inc. is an education nonprofit based in Paulding County, Georgia. Start Bright Inc. currently operates Start Bright Academy in Hiram, GA. Start Bright Academy is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) based early childhood education center equipped to handle 135 children at one time.

Our organization is growing exponentially and we are looking for people who would like a remote position that does not include too many hours per month to help us grow and complete our mission of creating a world of learning for children.

We are looking for people from every background who would like to help children in their community. We do prefer if you are from Paulding County or the surrounding areas as we would like our board members to know the community they are helping.

The time requirement for this position is 5 hours per month. This will mostly include email as well as phone calls and possible zoom meetings. All of these things can be done from a smartphone, tablet or computer.

We are hoping to grow our program in the next year to help more underserved children, more children of color, more children living with disabilities, and to help provide more STEAM based education to students in Paulding County. We offer a smart, safe, fun and educational STEAM-based daycare environment for children in Paulding County Georgia. Our teachers are confident and effective STEAM mentors, guiding students through meaningful, project-based learning, uniting content knowledge, and skill. As such, we are designing programs that will directly impact underserved students and students of color in our community.

Description

Start Bright Inc. was formed out of a necessity to provide a higher-quality early childhood education that what has been offered in the area previously. We are dedicated to helping all students regardless of race or socioeconomic status. We are currently designing an Americorps program to better help our local population of children and are looking to form an advisory committee to help us plan this program so as to best serve our community.
