The New River Abortion Access Fund is in need of intake volunteers for our abortion funding assistance helpline. We're a grassroots organization based in Blacksburg, Virginia, but you can help make abortion more accessible from any location. All you need is your phone and an email address.
The New River Abortion Access Fund provides financial assistance, transportation, and lodging for low-income people who are seeking abortion services. Abortion is legal in Virginia, but it is not always accessible. Helpline intake volunteers will respond to voicemails and offer financial and emotional support to callers. Coordinators will receive requests for rides and share them with local volunteer drivers.
