Mission Statement

Our vision and mission has always been to equip every child in the country with skills, relevant for them to perform to their fullest potential.

Description

India has over one million government schools. More than 60% of the 260 million children in India are enrolled in the public education system. Schools represent the only safe space available to most of these students and many rely on schools for meals, books, and as a path out of poverty. However, most of them lack any kind of guidance, mentorship or academic support. This adversely impacts the students’ ability to achieve learning objectives across a range of subjects and their perception of higher education.

Living To Change’s Learning and Development Program is designed to enhance the personal, interpersonal, self-management, initiative, and delivery skills of students from low-income communities through the development of English language skills. Our program is designed to supplement the existing curriculum established by government schools to steadily enhance the learning curve of every student.

The one-year part-time Fellowship at the Learning and Development Program offers an opportunity for those passionate change-makers who, while staying committed to building a career in their preferred sector, have the opportunity to contribute to social development. The Fellowship journey is one of teaching, learning, and working for children. It is open to any individual who is passionate about creating an impact, irrespective of age, gender, or socio-economic background.
