RezDawg is currently growing in exciting new directions and needs to build out its practices more thoroughly to maintain financial responsibility and reporting on behalf of our amazing donors.

RezDawg Rescue, Inc is an animal welfare organization that is focused on the situation of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in the Four Corners region of the United States. Our programs include transport services to a network of partner shelters, rescues and RezDawg foster homes, emergency medical care, education programs, spay/neuter/vaccination clinics and foster/adoption services. Simply, our mission is to save lives.
Founder and Executive Director Angela Cerci started RezDawg Rescue while working through Teach for America on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico in 2010. She was struck by the problem of stray dogs in the region and was compelled to help. She began taking in stray dogs off the streets and from high volume shelters, and quickly found herself co-habitating with a rotating stream of 15 plus dogs in her small home. Angela soon became known in the area as "the dog lady", and was often greeted by boxes of unwanted puppies or injured dogs in front of her home at the end of the teaching day. Angela also cared for malnourished dogs and puppies in the community, providing food, water and shelter to community members and their pets.
Moving to the Boulder, CO area in 2013 gave Angela access to dog-loving communities all along the front range that offered a wealth of fosters, volunteers, and eager adopters - the very people that make RezDawg Rescue work! Angela established a transport program from New Mexico to Colorado to connect loving animals with forever homes, and RezDawg Rescue was born. Since inception, RezDawg Rescue has transformed over 10,000 pet's lives.

An initial time commitment of 5 to 10 hours to get the books organized for this volunteer's best work, then 1-2 hours per month maintaining the books. Virtual attendance at bi-monthly board meetings as needed to provide updates and information.
