Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault
The Court Advocate Volunteer will accompany victims to Order of Protection hearings, family court proceedings, and criminal trials. The volunteer will provide emotional support, and will be a resource for the victim. Volunteers will be responsible for educating the victim on the legal system, and advocating for his/her needs throughout the day. Training will be required. This is a great opportunity to provide direct support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
