Would you like to be a part of special events such as a Plane Pull, a Polar Plunge, Over the Edge rappelling, and other fun local events? Special Olympics North Carolina needs volunteers to make these events happen. If you live in the Johnston County area and would like to help, SONC is looking for Special Event Fundraising Volunteers to raise money to put on these events.

Special event fundraisers allow Special Olympics North Carolina to generate a great deal of public awareness and funding for our mission. Registered athletes are never asked to pay a fee of any kind to participate in Special Olympics. Everything is provided for them including athletic uniforms, awards, sports training, competition facilities, coaches’ education and transportation. Have some fun by helping us raise funds for Special Olympics North Carolina.

You can help by:

• Initiating fun, new ideas to raise a maximum amount of money.
• Soliciting donations from local businesses and members of the community.
• Managing and implementing fundraising events.
