I am seeking an experienced, mature, and creative tutor for LSP’s Private Tutoring Services.
About Job/Job Description:
Location: on-line via ZOOM
Our Volunteers do one-on-one tutoring with students. LSP matches up a tutor with a student. Tutors meet with their students 4-5 hour per week. Tutors help students with their homework, or prepare and provide your own practice assignments for your students to work on.
LSP works with special ed. kids, so these kids require a lot of structure, repetition of instructions, visuals, patience, and Motivation. Engage your students with fun hands-on learning!
Requirements
*A college degree or work experience in your subject area: Math, English, Test Taking Skills...
*Interview, volunteer job application, 1 work reference
*Tutoring experience
Trainings: There are trainings in classroom behavior management, special education, lesson planning, parents, behavior.
Covid 19: LSP Tutoring Services are held on-line, and not in person.
LEARNING STRATEGIES PREP Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in New York City. We provide therapeutic enrichment programs. Program are open to all students, and especially benefit students with ADHD and learning disabilities.
Description
Our Volunteers work with kids as tutors or teachers. Classes are small, so you get to see kids grow and develop as you help them with learning strategies and life skills. We have wonderful volunteers, and kids and families say they really like LSP programs and support. This is the experience you get when working with LSP.
