Title: Seeking Tutors for Special Ed. Kids
About the organization:
We are a nonprofit organization based in New York.
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and creative Volunteer Tutor to conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with children in subjects, such as: English, Math, STEM, and Test Taking Skills. Programs Director matches a tutor with a child who has a similar background. Tutor meet with child/student 4-5 hours per week.
Location: on-line only
Requirements
*Experience tutoring students, formal (at a school) or informal (friends, neighbor's kids)
elementary and middle school ages
*Patience (we work with special ed. children and this requires a lot of patience)
*Motivational, passionate about helping kids in need
*A college degree or in a college degree program
*Interview, job application, and 1 work reference
Training: There are trainings and on-going trainings offered
