Voluntter will work closely with Executive Director to create high-quality, engaging content for unPrison’s this social media presence. Volunteer needs to create content so that channels remain updated, current, active, and brand-focused.

After your read about this opportunity, please email a cover letter to admin@unprison.org to share more about your background, interest, and experience. We looking forward to hearing from you!

We’re familiar with the platform and are looking for someone to create content on a regular basis and upload content for internal review into a shared file on Notes iCloud /Mac. Therefore the volunteer needs to be familiar with Notes. We find this a faster way to share for this kind of project instead of Dropbox or Google Drive.

As the health crisis continues to evolve with every day, a humanitarian crisis is unfolding for those most vulnerable and marginalized. Incarcerated people are infected by the coronavirus at a rate more than five times higher than the rest of the nation, and the death rate of prisoners is three times higher than the national rate. Trauma and decline in mental health increase exponentially in isolation and separation for both incarcerated parents and their children.

The communities we support need us to act. We are determined to do just that. In March 2020 prisons locked down and all in-person visitations were cancelled indefinitely. Our job is to focus on the public health issues that always existed behind the mass incarceration that has infected the U.S.

Take a look at our socials, both for CEO, Founder and the nonprofit. Let us know your thoughts for first steps to up the social media presence. Thank you.
