The perfect candidate for the Chapter Operations Director is a responsible and experienced people manager, has previous personal volunteer experience, is detail-oriented, and has a passion for empowering womxn.

Note: This is an unpaid volunteer position with options to work remotely.

Did you know that women are typically less likely to apply for positions if they don’t think they meet each desired skill? That’s not us - we encourage everyone to apply and commit to working with each volunteer to develop and build these skills to support your professional development!

Our ideal Chapter Operations Director candidate will have:

  • Experience with event planning and volunteer or staff management

    • Ensuring projects are implemented as planned
    • Ensuring chapter expenses remain below income and on budget
    • Reporting and maintaining records of all expenditures
    • Ensuring programs are run efficiently and effectively while providing a high quality experience for participants and volunteers.
    • Ensuring that programs are adequately staffed with volunteers and maintained within guidelines.
    • Creating quality contracts, proposals, reports, documents, and presentations as needed.

Note: In larger chapters, the Operations Director will build a team to help them with this role.

Expected time commitment: 5-10 hours/week, but this may vary. We ask that all leadership team members commit to one year of being on the team if possible, although less can be negotiated! Please be honest about your time commitments, while we realize it is difficult to forecast what you may be doing four or five months out, we ask potential leadership team members to try their best to be upfront about any potential conflicts, either work or personal. Thank you for your understanding!
