Chapter High School Program Co-Director
Works with community members, corporate sponsors and planning team to project manage, budget, plan, and execute high school chapter events. Manages and coordinates operational planning efforts related to the high school program plans and/or projects. Consults with HQ management and serves as a liaison between ChickTech and program partners. Project management of the high school program team includes but is not limited to regular check-ins with Workshop Manager, Participant Engagement Manager, the Volunteer Manager and Logistics Manager. This role acts as a liaison between chapter members and the chapter director to pass critical program information to national. This position ensures communications between all planning team roles and is responsible for ensuring timelines and event deliverables are being met within budget.

ChickTech is a national nonprofit dedicated to retaining womxn (female-identifying, non-binary and transgender women) in the technology workforce and increasing the number of womxn pursuing technology-based careers through signature programs for K-12 students and career level adults. The overarching goal of ChickTech is to increase diversity and inclusion within the technology culture through broadening the pipeline of underrepresented populations entering careers through non-traditional pathways, and increasing retention of these populations through a supportive community focused on enhancing career, leadership, inclusion, and engagement within and beyond the workplace. We are looking for a Chapter High School Program Director for the local chapter of ChickTech. The High School Program Director is a true leadership position, liaising directly with ChickTech National, providing guidance for the High School Program Team, representing ChickTech in the local community, and ensuring all programs are running sustainably.
The perfect candidate for the Chapter High School Program Director is a charismatic, trustworthy, responsible, and detail oriented. Has previous experience managing people and multifaceted projects, personal volunteer experience, and has a passion for empowering women.
Note: This is an unpaid volunteer position with options to work remotely.

Expected time commitment: 5-10 hours/week, but this may vary. We ask that all leadership team members commit to one year of being on the team if possible, although less can be negotiated! Please be honest about your time commitments, while we realize it is difficult to forecast what you may be doing four or five months out, we ask potential leadership team members to try their best to upfront with any conflicts, either work or personal. ChickTech is a multi-generational community of womxn and girls helping each other to become technology creators. ChickTech is dedicated to retaining womxn (and non-binary individuals) in the technology workforce and increasing the number of womxn and girls pursuing technology-based careers. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events to empower, support, and increase the confidence of womxn and girls. Through our events, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
