We have volunteer opportunities in the Security/Fountain/Widefield area. We also service the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas as well. Companion volunteers are needed to help provide a compassionate presence to hospice patients and their families. Patients may reside in their private homes, assisted living communities or skilled nursing facilities. Our office is located in Colorado Springs and Volunteering is a great way to learn more about the field of hospice care.
We provide orientation and on-going training.
Some activities you might share with a patient could include, chatting and listening, playing cards, reading, music or simply holding a hand. Aroma Touch with essential oils has been added to the many things our volunteers can offer to our patients. Volunteers can also provide needed respite for the family and caregivers.

We support our volunteers and appreciate the important rolse they play in hospice care. we prepare volunteers with specific training. Volunteering takes no advanced medical training or great commitment. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests. YOU BELONG HERE.

- We can work with your schedule. Volunteer shifts preferrably once a week 1-3 hours or 2-3 times a month visits...or more, Volunteers set their own schedules but consistency in visits is crucial. Average visits from 1-3 hours, Could be more or less.
- Drug test, TB test, Background check and proof of Drivers License and Auto Insurance. Must have your own vehicle. Visit note documentation is required to be completed.
