ORGANIZATION: Spark the Journey

This is an unprecedented time for us all! The challenges of COVID-19 affect the education of D.C. students. To combat the challenges of virtual learning, mentor a D.C. high school or college student, and offer advice needed to navigate the educational system.

Mentors of college are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

  • 21 years old or older
  • Four-year degree or higher
  • DMV Metropolitan resident

Flexible Mentoring Schedule - HS:

  • Call/email your mentee 1x a week
  • Meet with your mentee virtually or in-person following CDC guidelines 2x a month
  • Communicate with staff 1x bi-weekly

Flexible Mentoring Schedule - College:

  • Call/email your mentee 1x a month
  • Meet with your mentee virtually or in-person following CDC guidelines, based on your student’s availability
  • Communicate with staff 1x bi-monthly
