The Health Advisor will serve as a health professional for the Focus Our Future Health department of Focus Our Future Inc. Focus Our Future Health’s mission is to provide prevention-oriented education, services and workshops to student-athletes and professional athletes that positively impacts their physical, mental and social well-being during and after sport. The Health Advisor will develop workshops for the Focus Our Future(r) Program members. The workshops will serve as a benefit to members. Non-members are able to attend workshops as well. The workshops will address popular topics among student-athletes and professional athletes that impact their ability to become their best self. Workshop topics will be given to the Health Advisor with enough time to develop a meaningful workshop. The Health Advisor will have the ability to develop topics befitting to members and/or community needs. We are looking for a reliable, dependable individual who values person-centered care, preparedness, and evidence-based services. This Health Advisor must be professional, experienced as an individual or group session presenter, and self-sufficient.

Description
Focus Our Future, Inc. is a non-profit organization that helps student-athletes prepare for life after sport for the betterment of communities around the world. Our goal is to offer services that assist student-athletes with their transition from sport to life after sport by exercising our organizational values to be the B.E.S.T. In 2013, Greg Ford challenged Kevin Watson, a young aspiring Track and Field coach, former student-athlete and working professional, to make a difference in the lives of the student-athletes that he trains. Greg not only called Kevin to help athletes in sport but assist the athletes outside of the sport. After some consideration, Kevin became inspired to support student-athletes in and out of their respective sports. A decision was made to create an organization that would address the needs of student-athletes while they are in school and after they finish participating in their respective sports. Today, Focus Our Future, Inc. exists with the Focus Our Future(r) Program. We have received acknowledgement from Jennifer McClellan, member of the Senate of Virginia 9th District, for the leadership of our Focus Our Future(r) Program.
