Although we are opening remotely due to covid, this is a position where the applicant must reside in Broward County, Florida.
Love INC of Broward is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3 that partners with churches in Broward County offering people in need help aimed at transformation and freedom In the Name of Christ so they can overcome poverty. We offer resources by participation, basic life skills, and relationship building. Love INC of Broward is one of over 120 affiliates in 30 states in the U.S. helping over 1 million people yearly by more than 9,000 churches, community agencies, and thousands of volunteers. Our first international affiliate opened in 2015 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has grown to seven affiliates.
How does Love INC work?
The heart of Love INC is the Connect Center. Volunteers receive help requests, conduct intakes, and action plans, and journey with clients to freedom from poverty and brokenness. Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources and helps churches develop ministries to fill these gaps including Service Projects, Budget Mentoring, Career Mentoring, Personal Care Pantry, and Counseling services.

The LINC Up Coordinator is a volunteer position. The LINC (Love INC) Up Volunteer Coordinator will assist the ED in developing the community partnerships and relationships to support our Mission Statement, which is to "mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the Name of Christ." This is a developing position with many possibilities. You will be part of a young and growing ministry that will be tightly connected to churches, agencies, and businesses in Broward County.
The LINC Up Volunteer Coordinator works with the Executive Director assisting in Love INC of Broward, located in the Ft Lauderdale, Florida area. We will provide training to new volunteers, so you are equipped to serve Love INC and the community.
Skills:
Enjoy interacting with others in the community
Detail-oriented
Basic computer skills
Active listening skills
Some database experience is helpful but not required
Requirements:
Volunteers weekly
Professing Christian attending a Christian church
Complete training provided free to volunteers
Must live in Broward County, Florida, and attend a church in Broward County
Initial office hours: Tuesdays 10 am - 2:30 pm
