We are seeking a designer who wants to tell the story of what is happening in the local Slow Food movement. We'd love you to be familiar with the ins and outs of email design, and comfortable with Mailchimp.
Your primary job at the outset is owning the monthly storytelling to our members of what's going on, what's coming up, and how to participate in moving the movement. Some folks might call this a monthly newsletter, but WOW that sounds boring.
Once you feel comfortable with the cadence of this role, you'll have the opportunity to become the champion of the email realm, developing ways to deeper our engagement within the movement, maybe automate some stuff, segment some stuff, work your email wizardry (we have some opportunity for growth in this department if that isn't glaringly obvious). You could also decide at some point you are sick and tired of this email thing and want to step into a strategy role, a broader design role with our organization, or become a leader at the national/international level. Those are all possibilities too.
All kidding aside, in this role you will be expected to familiarize yourself with the values of Slow Food Minnesota, how you want to be in relationship with those values, and uphold that in your interactions with the community.
