The trail team volunteers help Prescott Farm to maintain our property for visitors and program goers to enjoy. Our surrounding natural property allows us to engage thousands of program participants with a wide range of programs designed to preserve and pass down knowledge and skills that encourage an understanding of the natural systems that sustain us all and respect for the environment. The trail team is composed of three broad volunteer opportunities listed below:
Nature Observation: walk our trails and monitor the changes that occur throughout the seasons
Record observations of wildlife, plant species, and other notable natural changes
Adopt-A-Trail: walk our trails to identify and remove small debris from trails, remove litter, check trailhead signs, walking trails in the winter to pack down the snow
Forest management: works in conjunction with the Forest Management Committee
Execute and maintain forest management plan within your ability
*Please note all volunteers age 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult
