Becoming Kings and Queens, Inc is looking for volunteers to provide weekly mentoring to Tony's Place (www.TonysPlace.org) which is a is a drop-in center focusing on LGBTQ+ youth up to 25 years of age who are unstably housed, couch surfing or experiencing homelessness. We meet with them on Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm beginning the last Saturday, in February, 02/27/2021.
The temperatures of the participants and employees are tested each day upon entry, to ensure the impact of COVID- 19 is minimalized.
You will attend a 2 hour training session to provide instruction and details on project mission and what to expect.
All participants involved with maintain CDC social distancing guidelines including wearing face masks, social distancing at least 6 feet away from each other and frequently washing of hands.
We are looking for any and all volunteers to wish to make a difference in the next generation.

Becoming Kings and Queens, Inc's mission is to provide leadership building opportunities through mentorship, education, and volunteer work. Our values are deeply rooted in providing the community with the support, guidance and assistance it needs to produce genuine leaders in the next generation.
Description
Becoming Kings and Queens, Inc is based in Spring, Texas and was founded in early 2020. We have a monthly volunteer/ charity event where we provide support to our community. We have partnered with several nonprofit organizations in our local area to accomplish common goals projects and achievements. We have partnered with L.A.M.P and the H.A.W.C. to provide essentials to those in need. We have worked with the Houston Food Bank to provide assistance in sorting and organizing over 20 pallets of meals for those less fortunate. We have affiliated ourselves with a local nursing home to provide their residents with companionship, fun, and games. We have initiated a weekly mentorship with a local resident treatment facility, where we developing a relationship with the youth, ages 11- 17 years old.
