During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Ruff Haven Crisis Sheltering is dedicated to helping keep pets with their people. One of the services we provide is vaccinations to all sheltering clients. In September we held Utah's first completely free drive-up vaccination clinic, serving 282 pets. We would like to branch out and start holding "pop-up" vaccinations in our underserved and underresourced neighborhoods.
Our goal is to start offering these clinics once a quarter on Sundays. We work with an fantastic veterinary office, Canyons Veterinary Clinic, but in order to serve as many people as possible would like to grow our volunteer base.
We anticipate a commitment of 5-7 hours one Sunday every three months. All vaccines and microchips will be provided free of charge to registrants and all COVID health guidelines will be implemented.

Our mission is to provide a temporary safe haven for companion animals in order to keep pets and their people together in times of crisis, increase pet retention, and decrease the number of animals entering the shelter system.
Our organization provides temporary emergency fostering services for people experiencing a crisis. We board pets at both a dog boarding facility (yes, even cats!), as well as individual foster homes. As of June 2020 we have reunified over 30 families with their beloved furry family members. We also hosted Utah's first completely free drive-thru vaccination clinic. Our main focus is pet retention and keeping people with their pets.
We'll work with your schedule.
