Tomorrowsmith Foundation is seeking Social Media volunteers to work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to create engaging content for its social media presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused and seeking new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.
Responsibilities:
 Help plan and manage a social media plan
 Use social media to support the Foundation’s activities.
 Keeping social media channels updated frequently
 Encouraging others to comment on our posts and share them with others
 Ensure that communication reaches a wide variety of local stakeholders and diverse audience
 Generate and manage content for our website and social media, such as Facebook & LinkedIn
 Track the efficacy of our social media work and recommend ways forward
 Check the content and review its impact
 Staying updated about the Foundation’s events and news, and choosing what to promote through our social media feeds
 The ability to develop publicity materials is an asset
The ideal volunteer will have -
 An understanding of different marketing and communications media, including electronic and social media
 Excellent articulation and writing skills.
 Experience in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
 Ability to convert small bits of information into engaging stories suitable for social media.
 Commitment to confidentiality
 The ability to work equally well in a team and individually.
