Endless Journey has a "Marvelous Maker" program utilizing the creative gifts of generous souls in the area. We utilize:

  • Sewing -
    • patriotic blankets for our We Honor Veterans presentations
    • memory pillows or pillow cases or teddy bears out of the clothing of a loved one for those who are mourning their passing
    • "busy blankets" for patients with Alzheimers/Dementia
    • miscellaneous requests that come in from time to time
    • aromatherapy wraps
  • Knitters/Crocheters
    • busy "sleeves" for patients who pick at their arms and need distraction
  • Crafters
    • seasonal crafts to bring joy to patients and their family members
    • help with creation of memorial arrangements in November of each year for facilities in memory of our patients who died in the last year
These are the ways we are currently utilizing creative gifts, but are always open to new ideas!

Description

Endless Journey Hospice LLC is an independent, locally owned and operated hospice established in Omaha to serve the Omaha and Lincoln areas with an alternative for end of life care unlike those currently offered by the medical field. The primary objective is to empower clients and the community through education and to offer holistic interventions to provide comfort and dignity throughout the dying process. Endless Journey embraces the client and their loved ones as they approach the exhaustion of effective aggressive treatment by offering emotional support and education related to disease process and treatment options to improve quality of life. Like all hospices, we provide services to clients wherever they live. This is provided through the traditional hospice team of nurses,health aids, chaplains, social workers, and volunteers in addition to a broad array of holistic providers and a full-time nutritionist.
