St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program (FCP) is San Francisco’s largest free clothing program. FCP provides fresh, clean clothes, to low-income families and individuals, including those who are experiencing homelessness.
St. Anthony’s Free Clothing Program serves guests through our Individual Clothing Service and Family Clothing Service. It is our goal to distribute the highest quality of clothing possible to ensure that our guests have a positive and dignified experience.
We are in need of volunteer support to help us process our donated clothing for distribution. Tasks will include sorting, folding, hanging, and quality checking clothing and assisting as personal shoppers for guests. Volunteer shifts may also include creating emergency clothing kits and hygiene item kits.
Shifts:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-12pm
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1pm-4pm
Saturdays 9:30am-12:00pm, 1:15pm-4:00pm
Signing up to volunteer is easy, just sign-up on our Volunteer Shifts Calendar https://www.stanthonysf.org/shifts/ or email us at volunteer@stanthonysf.org.
*Please note that we require all volunteers coming on-site to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination against photo ID at their first shift.

Description
In 1950, Fr. Alfred Boeddeker, a Franciscan friar in San Francisco, had a vision for a place where anyone could find a hot meal, a friendly face, and a helping hand. He created a place where people in need could enjoy a meal in community with others. Today, we provide Essential Services since food, clothing, shelter, safety, and hygiene are human rights, Health Care because every person should have access to quality medical care and recovery services, and Options for a Brighter Future since everyone should have access to technology, as well as the chance to learn valuable skills and find productive work that earns livable wages.
In addition to these important things that we bring to the community, here at St. Anthony’s we affirm that we are called to accompany our guests along their journey to achieve the results they desire, whether that is a single clean load of laundry or a year-long stay with us to recover from a substance use disorder.
