The GROW! Community Garden is seeking local residents in Boundary County, Idaho to serve as Board Members and/or committee participants. GROW! is a small non-profit located in Bonners Ferry, ID that offers leasable garden plots to local residents and grows/donates produce to food banks in Boundary County.
Board and committee members foster relationships with local residents and businesses while taking on duties and responsibilities related to membership, promotion, volunteer coordination, fundraising and raffle events. Board and committee members should attend a minimum of one meeting each month, although more may be needed while coordinating special events and projects. GROW! meets regularly at 5:30p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. Currently, Zoom conferencing is an option, but members may also meet in-person with social distancing in place (location may vary.)
The Community Garden is located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Buchanan Street on the grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church. Access is generally scheduled in advance.

Mission Statement
The purpose of Gardeners for Regional Organic Wellbeing, or GROW!, is to support and expand the local food system while encouraging sustainable agricultural methods in Boundary County. We strive to enhance the availability of local healthy food to our community by providing the opportunity to grow organic food in a community garden and by distributing organic produce to local community groups.
Description
GROW! donates around 2,000 pounds of healthy produce each year to local foodbanks in Boundary County. We also offer leasable garden plots and raised beds to local residents.
In 2019, GROW! started the Little Free Garden project in Boundary County, with support from partnering agencies. We are the first area in Idaho to participate in this national program which promotes gardening and garden education. Much like Little Free Libraries, these small raised beds provide free produce to the local community. Boundary County now has 38 Little Free Gardens, and plans are in place to create more in 2021!
