There are many ways to support the GROW! Community Garden. We are seeking local residents to serve on our Board and/or volunteers for committees such as our annual Farm-to-Table fundraiser, the Little Free Garden committee, or the Community Garden committee. You can also help build more raised beds or coordinate volunteer activities. All are welcome!

The Community Garden is located in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Buchanan Street on the grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church. Access are generally scheduled in advance.

The GROW! meets regularly at 5:30p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. We are currently meeting via Zoom conference. Contact us for an invitation.

About GROW! Community Garden (Gardeners for Regional Organic Wellbeing)

Location:

PO BOX 1433, BONNERS FERRY, ID 83805, US

Mission Statement

The purpose of Gardeners for Regional Organic Wellbeing, or GROW!, is to support and expand the local food system while encouraging sustainable agricultural methods in Boundary County. We strive to enhance the availability of local healthy food to our community by providing the opportunity to grow organic food in a community garden and by distributing organic produce to local community groups.

Description

GROW! donated over 2,700 pounds of healthy produce to local foodbanks in Boundary County in 2019. The year 2020 will likely see a combined 1,500+ pounds of donated food.

GROW! also offers leased garden plots to local residents.

GROW! started the Little Free Garden project in Boundary County, with support from partnering agencies in 2019. We are the first area in Idaho to participate in this national program which promotes gardening and garden education. Much like Little Free Libraries, these small raised beds provide free produce to the local community. Boundary County now has 38 Little Free Gardens, and plans are in place to create many more in 2021!
