TECHNOLOGY COACHES and TUTORS
Older Adults can feel left behind by this digital age, a feeling that is compounded by the onset of Covid-19. Technology, now more than ever is essential for people to stay socially connected and many of our seniors are motivated to learn how to use technology to connect with friends, family, community groups, informative resources, and medical providers. Two senior centers in Bucks County are starting a pilot program to aid older adults to access and use tech devices to fight back against social isolation.
Where and whenWHERE: In person meetings-On-site (Senior Centers)and Follow up support -via phone/virtual
DATES: Mid November 2020- Mid March 2021
TIMES: Weekdays between 9am-2pm
Qualifications
-Passionate about helping seniors get connect through use of technology
-Comfortable and experienced with use of computers, tablets, and/or smart phones
-Good communication skills (especially re: listening and breaking tasks into steps)
-Good people skills (able to be patient and provide encouragement)

The mission of the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging is to promote the engagement of volunteers to assist with seniors and senior needs in the community. Positively Aging Bucks County Volunteer Program is to focus on community improvement and in the delivery of volunteer services to seniors in Bucks County .
Description
The Bucks County Positively Aging volunteer program provides opportunities for adults age 18+ to engage in volunteer services and contribute time,experience and knowledge to others in their comuunities.
