Golf Program in Schools (GPS) is a program that brings volunteer golf coaches directly to the schools for a fun and educational introduction to golf. The students are taught the basics of grip posture and swing as well as the fundamental character traits inherent in the world of golf, particularly persistence, achievement, trustworthiness and healthy lifestyle. Students are also made aware of the availability of golf scholarships and the many golf careers. We are looking for volunteer golf coaches that love the game and enjoy working with students. Golf expertise is not required, we will teach you our introduction program. We are using the Operation 36 Golf Program.
1) We need coaches for our 1 day a week field trips to the practice facility at the country club typically 9am to 12:30pm or 10am - 1:30pm. On a Wednesday or Thursday morning.
2) We need coaches for our 1 day a month Family Fun Day at the practice facility. 3rd Saturday of every month 8:30am - 11;30am.
3) We need coaches to go into the schools with Tom to work with the students. This opportunity can be constructed to fit your schedule.

Description
Golf Program in Schools (GPS)- Our inclusive, award winning program is helping students find their right P.A.T.H. in life through golf! Golf Program in Schools is the only Inclusive, free in-school, curriculum based introductory golf program for students. GPS is renowned for empowering young people to lead socially, professionally and physically healthy lifestyles by following their P.A.T.H.
We emphasize P.A.T.H: Persistence, Achievement, Trustworthiness and Healthy lifestyle to help students find their way as they navigate through the challenges of growing up.
By being part of the school curriculum we reach every student in their PE class crossing all socio-economic limitations at no cost to the student or the school. The class includes a golf course field trip so students can experience the country club environment and practice on the green grass. Completion of the course allows students to play free golf with a paying adult until they graduate high school. An important life lesson we teach is to develop your skill level to equal your talent level and you will be a happy and productive person.
