Alonesy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides online mentoring services for teenagers is currently looking for volunteers that have experience writing engaging blog posts within the mental health field. Our mentoring program is set to launch in December of this year, but in the meantime, we are hoping to write blog posts that will be useful for our teenage audience as well as potential donors. Previous experience within the psychology, social work, or any other mental health field is a requirement for this opportunity. We hope that these blog posts will give teenagers something to relate to while also educating them on the complexity of the current widespread mental health epidemic. As an organization that is devoted to supporting youth, we envision these blog posts to be a resource that teens can access prior to reaching out to us for support. We ask that you post roughly an article per week.

Mission Statement

Alonesy aims to provide free mentoring services to struggling teenagers through an online platform.

Description

Founded by Jack Bowers as a senior in high school, Alonesy is one of the only providers of free online mentoring services. Currently, many adolescents are not seeking support due to stigma, lack of accessibility, and monetary constraints. Alonesy was created to bridge the gap between upper and lower class individuals to ensure that every person in need has access to support.

Unlike a crisis hotline, Alonesy prides itself on providing ongoing mentoring services. Mentors meet with individuals on a weekly basis and check in via text throughout each week.
