During these uncertain times, how can we help?

We will pair you with an Animal Welfare Organization in Africa that needs help with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) posting, website editing (don't need to know the software), grant-writing, fundraising, general marketing, video creation, and/or other skills development. AKI has conducted "friendly audits" for several AWOs in Africa in which we've worked with an organization to identify ways we can strengthen them. Now we're looking for volunteers to move to the next step: This opportunity involves working one-on-one with the organization of your choice (so far we've conducted "friendly audits" and need volunteers for organizations in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, and Kenya helping cats, dogs, and donkeys). Some of the organizations need training and then can take on many tasks on their own. Others need more hands-on support. Most need a combination of mentoring/training with hands-on support. The goal is to strengthen the organization by identifying how they stand out and provide the support they request and need to help them grow stronger and to help us build a more powerful network of African AWOs.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Since 2007, Animal-Kind International has been raising money for and visibility of animal welfare organizations in resource-poor countries with a focus on those in Africa and a secondary focus on Latin America and the Caribbean region.
We support 10 animal welfare Partner Organizations in Uganda (2 partners), Tanzania, Ghana, Liberia, South Sudan, Namibia, Honduras, Jamaica, and Armenia. Our Partner Organizations receive ongoing funding as long as they comply with our requirements for transparency and accountability. Our Partners can use AKI funds for their priority needs-we don't dictate how they use our funds as long as they are for animal welfare purposes. In 2018, we expanded our reach by starting the Africa-Based Animal Welfare Organization Grant Program. In both 2018 and 2019 we supported 8 grant recipients. Our 3rd annual grant program (2020) supports 9 animal welfare organizations in Egypt, Kenya, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (2 grantees), Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria, and South Africa. Grantees receive funding for specific projects. We help strengthen animal welfare organizations in Africa by providing technical, administrative, and fundraising support.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
