Similar to the Freezing Night program, we are opening extra winter shelter beds in Tacoma. Volunteers needed for late night or early morning shifts to assist our staff in serving our guests.

  • 6:00pm - Midnight or Midnight - 6:00am
  • Shifts available seven (7) nights a week
  • No experience necessary, training provided
  • Volunteers will be assisting staff members with: check-in/out and general monitoring of our guests
  • We are partnering with Holy Rosary church and Bellarmine school to help us expand our winter shelter capacity
The Tacoma Rescue Mission provides services for men, women and families experiencing homelessness in the Pierce County area.

Without your gift of service, we are not able to accomplish the work we do. By volunteering, you are able to walk alongside those in need throughout our community and be a symbol of hope to the hurting individuals that are experiencing homelessness.
