Come join the elite Safety Team at the USS MIDWAY Museum. You will enjoy these highly professional, skilled, and dedicated individuals from all walks of life. They greet visitors at the entry brow, bid them farewell, and thank them for visiting at the departure brow. They also patrol the museum for the safety of guests, staff, and volunteers. One day of classroom training followed by on-the-job learning. Earn your "Red Hat" and be a proud MIDWAY volunteer enjoying the many perks of this highly popular San Diego landmark!

Description
The USS Midway Museum opened to the public in June 2004 and today is one of San Diego’s most popular visitor attractions with world wide audience. The naval aircraft carrier was commissioned in 1945 and served for 47 years supporting U.S. military and humanitarian efforts around the world. Nearly 250,000 sailors and officers served their country aboard the USS Midway before it was decommissioned (retired) in 1992. Museum includes more than 60 audio tour stops including nearly 30 aircraft ranging from the WWII era to today's technology in Naval aviation. Come be a part of this 'city at sea'!

- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- The Museum asks for 20 hrs. a month for positions in Safety. This equates to one shift a week ... any day, either morning or afternoon and not necessarily the same shift or same day each time.
- Able to climb ladders, get certified is some first aid and CPR. One morning of classroom training followed by a period of on-the-job training before receiving the coveted "RED HAT".
