Want to make a new friend? We are looking for volunteers to serve as mentors for women experiencing homelessness in New York City. Mentors will meet with their mentee in-person one-on-one* each week to help and encourage them as they work through an individualized action plan. Additional conversations may be held via phone call/text/email throughout the week. Mentors build relationships with their mentees, truly being a friend and getting to know the person behind the situation.


*All meetings are COVID safe and adhere to current local regulations.

Restore Hope’s mission is to build relationships with women experiencing homelessness, providing them with resource connections while working to discover and address the underlying causes of their situation.

Description

Restore Hope was founded in light of Isaiah 61:1-4 and Matthew 25:33-45 with the mission to connect homeless women to vital resources while building relationships with them and working to uncover and address the underlying causes of each person’s situation. Taking the time to build relationships not only reminds these women that they matter, but allows Restore Hope to provide personalized services that address each woman’s unique situation.
