The mission of Community Pet Project is to help the homeless and economically fragile population of Hillsborough County, FL keep their pets with them rather then having to surrender them due to lack of resources. To accomplish this mission, we have many Volunteers engaged in running fundraising events, delivering pet food, and setting up medical care. We would like to publish a quarterly online newsletter for our Volunteer Team to help them get to know each other and share ideas and stories. We need someone who can assemble input from our Volunteers into a newsletter format so that the Volunteer Coordinator can email it out to the Volunteer Team.

Mission Statement
We believe that loving our pets is not defined by socioeconomic status and that, for some people, pets are their only lifeline. Therefore, our mission is to help homeless and economically individuals and families in Hillsborough County with the basic needs (food, treats, bowls, collars, leashes, beds, etc.) for their pets to enable them to keep them. We also assist with medical expenses.
Description
We rely entirely on donations, so most of our efforts are directed at holding fundraising events throughout the year. We participate in the quarterly homeless outreach events coordinated by the area law enforcement agencies. Throughout the year we provide individuals and families with deliveries of the basic necessities and financial assistance with medical needs. We have partnerships with a number of veterinary clinics and boarding facilities. Although our efforts are directed at pets, we also work with their owners to put them in touch with organizations that will provide them with the services they need.
