The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice.
The Alzheimer’s Association is actively recruiting new members of the Volunteer Committee for The Longest Day, one of the Association’s two signature events. This unique fundraiser gives participants the opportunity to do what they do best - whether that’s biking, baking, painting, golfing, or any other hobby you can think of - and do it to help achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
The Committee is seeking volunteers from across Illinois with a range of talents - if you’re creative, help teams and individuals come up with awesome events and fundraising ideas; if you’re a planner who has particularly missed planning things in 2020, this is a great opportunity to flex those muscles; if you’re a cheerleader who likes to help people succeed and feel great about it, participants want to hear from you!; and if you are the networking or social media pro, you know we can never have enough of you!
Click here to learn more about The Longest Day, and please email Gina Henrickson at glhenrickson@alz.org to express interest in joining the Committee - I would love to set up a time to talk about the many ways to get involved!35 More opportunities with Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter
