Optimist kindly received a donation of 5,000 single-layer cloth masks that we would like to be sewn together to create CDC-approved double-layer masks. Do you have a sewing machine and some extra time on your hands? Please consider reaching out to us to assist us with this simple sewing project! You would be able to pick up the masks from ourWoodland Hills location, and sew in the safety of your own home!

Description
OYHFS is committed to giving all children the chance at a bright future, which they so rightly deserve. In combining therapy, education and a nurturing residential living environment, we provide the specialized care and unbounded love and understanding needed by each and every child. Optimist cares for probation and foster youth in our residential program, with five sites throughout Los Angeles County. We also operate a Community Mental Health program, a Foster Family and Adoption program, and as of 2020, a Temporary Shelter Care program for under-sheltered young girls. At Optimist, futures begin here, starting with a home, a family and hope.
