URGENT NEED!! Join our team of volunteers who work at our high volume rescue facility in MISSION, TEXAS taking care of our puppies and dogs! You must be at least 18 years old (sorry, no exceptions).

Major Responsibilities:
 Socializing and comforting the dogs-give our pups lots of love and hugs
 Walk dogs
 Clean kennels/crates
 Prepare food and feed dogs
 Wash dog bowls
 Give dog baths
 Organize supplies
 Teach basic obedience commands (not required)

Length of term:
We ask for at least a 1-2 month commitment
FURTHER SHIFT DETAILS WILL BE PROVIDED BY DIRECTOR OF RESCUE UPON INQUIRY


Requirements:
 Must be at least 18 years old
 Interact with dogs of various sizes, shapes, breeds and manners
 Must pick up dog waste and assist with cleaning; it's a dirty yet rewarding job

Additional things to bring:
 Plenty of drinking water
 If you have a 4-6 foot leash, please bring it each time.
 Suntan lotion and bug spray.
 Hand sanitizer- we do provide a sink with soap and paper towels to wash up.

Please do not bring treats from home; only use the treats we have at the kennel.

WE GO BIG, SO THEY GO HOME.

Going BIG means that our fosters and volunteers always show up in a big way and are incredibly hands-on, passionate, and dedicated, whether they are volunteering remotely, at our kennel, or at our adoption events.

Ruff House Rescue is the largest 501 (c)(3) non-profit rescue on the South Shore of Long Island. Our mission is to seek out under-served shelters and communities where we can make the biggest lifesaving impact. Our goal is to create a world where the kind and rewarding experience of adoption is the standard. We do this through tireless passion, commitment, and advocacy.

We are a foster-based network of animal lovers who seek to save as many lives as possible, as fast as we can. As a largely volunteer-based organization, we depend on the generosity of our Ruff House family to do this life changing work.
