JCUW FITA Tax preparer/Quality reviewer provides value to the client in delivering a quality tax return, maximizing the client’s refund for FREE. The tax preparer/Quality reviewer is a part of the FITA team that is made up entirely of volunteers and helps on average 500+ clients each tax season to claim their entire tax refund, putting $600,000 back into the community each season.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepare accurate income tax returns.
2. Understand the FITA process.
3. Ensure accuracy of the paperwork.
4. Ensure client is within scope of FITA guidelines.
5. Complete a quality return within a specific time period.
6. Review accuracy of tax returns prepared by others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Willing and able to:

1. Attend mandatory training session in December.
2. Provide in late December an available schedule for January-April.
3. Work in a fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts.
4. Be reliable and adhere to schedule.
5. Deliver on-time results.
6. Maintain clear and organized documentation.
7. In-person option : If working in-person must be willing to with the public while wearing all mandated protective equipment.
8. Virtual technical requirements : Must have computer (2 screens preferred) with internet access.
9. Be encouraging, friendly and courteous.
10. Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to volunteerism and community impact work.
