YTP- Providing tutoring and mentoring services in Seattle to youth grades 1-12 since 1991.

Tutoring is taking place online using the Zoom platform due to COVID-19. In person opportunities would be available as soon as health and safety permits.

Our program is located in Seattle, Washington. We have six centers in multiple locations around the area. Although we are running remotely and value all of our volunteers. Please note that we will be prioritizing volunteers who may be interested to volunteer in person once health and safety permits. Volunteers are the heart of our program, and we would be very grateful to those volunteers who are able to continue providing their valuable tutoring and mentorship in person with their students.

Help tackle educational inequality by becoming a tutor - no experience necessary! YTP recognizes there are disparate impacts in education for young folks and communities impacted by poverty, systemic racism, and educational inequity.

We support families and students from low-income housing, people of color, and immigrant communities grow confidence in their academic learning environments through 1:1 tutoring. Our volunteering program offers one-to-one tutoring and personalized tutoring plans. Our goal is for students to have a welcoming space, to be supported after school, entirely free of charge.

The program depends on volunteer tutors - could you join our tutoring program and help enrich the education of young people in Seattle?

YTP welcomes everyone who wants to help and we particularly encourage members of the Black community and people of color to become tutors.

- You will receive all the training and resources you need
- Required commitment of one hour per week
