Provide assistance to meet disaster-caused emergency health needs such as loss of medications, medical equipment, treatment, and health recovery information to victims of hurricanes, tornadoes, and house fires.
Individual Disaster Care/Disaster Health Services Ancillary Care is a role that may be deployed to the scene of disasters in a Red Cross shelter or work virtually. Volunteers in this role act as advocate for clients who have lost medical supplies due to disasters.
No matter where you live in Tennessee, you can volunteer for this role with the required licensure.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Every single day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies. Whether itﾒs one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
