Overview

We are always looking for Garden Volunteers join us on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 2 PM for our weekly community volunteering days in the Grace Grows Garden. At GRACE Grows, a 501(c)(3) organization in Alachua County, Florida, we empower individuals who are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity through horticulture.

Core Responsibilities

  • Help with an array of gardening tasks, including shoveling, planting, lifting, and more
  • Maintain respect for the populations being served
  • Volunteers may come out any Sunday, however we prefer consistent volunteers who show up multiple times per month

Experience

  • No prior gardening experience is necessary

Skills & Other

  • We accommodate all individuals but it is important to note that garden work can be physically demanding including tasks such as: shoveling, planting flowers, moving materials, etc.
  • Positive Attitude
  • Volunteers are not required to bring their own tools; however, if you would like to donate equipment, we would appreciate:
