As COVID-19 has further isolated older adults in our communities, you can make a difference from the safety & comfort of your own home!
Social Call volunteers visit with an older adult each week for social visits. Volunteers provide companionship, a listening ear, and their company. Who you are paired with is based on location, availability, and shared interests. Social Call volunteers find that making a visit to an older adult in their community is quite rewarding and many develop long-term friendships with the older adult they are paired with.
For the time being, because COVID-19, all visits will be virtual (by phone or video conference).
Social Call volunteers:
- Receive training and ongoing support
- Are matched with an adult 60 years or older
- Visit with their match for 30-60 minutes each week for 6 months or longer
Volunteer training scheduled regularly.
Bilingual volunteers strongly encouraged to apply! All adults aged 18 yrs and older welcome to apply.
