Share your life Experience!
School districts throughout the County are inviting volunteers to visit their schools and become positive role models to a child.
Volunteers will work one-to-one with children who are "at risk" or below in reading proficiency. Activities can include paired readings, flash cards, echo reading, etc. The benefit of being able to read better is not the only benefit the students may receive. Studies have shown improvement in communication skills and self confidence. Share your life experiences, skills and talents with the future generation. Become a school volunteer!

The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County provides opportunities for people to make a difference in their community through volunteer service.
Make an impact on your community! Become a volunteer and make a difference!
The Volunteer Center of Clearfield County (VCCC) provides opportunities for people to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. Sponsored by the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc., VCCC is dedicated to making a difference in our community through volunteer service. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, environmental organizations, nursing/personal care homes, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. VCCC offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. VCCC matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
We'll work with your schedule.
