Strong Attitudes Supporting Sistahs, Inc. is a new and growing non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of single black mothers in the DMV area by linking mothers to essential community resources and providing holistic peer support. You can volunteer remotely, from the comfort of your home,

More information about the position: The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing engagement and fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue and current and prospective donors. The Donor Relations Manager also provides comprehensive administrative assistance to the Executive Director, with a focus on fundraising support, effective database management and reporting, event logistics, and donor stewardship efforts (acknowledgments, printed material inventory, prep materials for donor meetings). As necessary, the Donor Relations Manager will recruit and supervise volunteers to help with department efforts. Paramount to this position is the ability to work with a high degree of independence and juggle various projects at once while maintaining a clear view of how each project supports the organization’s mission.

Inc. is to connect with single black mothers at any stage throughout their pregnancy or child's life to connect them to essential community resources and provide holistic peer support. We believe that with the proper resources and stronger support, Black Mothers will improve their overall wellness and raise healthier productive lives for their children.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • One full day per week for a minimum of 60 days OR two full days for a minimum of 30 days, you set your own work hours and are responsible for appropriate tracking of hours.
  • Ability to convey a high degree of commitment and passion for our mission. Exceptional understanding of philanthropy as it relates to the not-for-profit organization and a wide and deep knowledge of fundamental disciplines of resource development
