A True Change (ATC) is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Denver, and supporting marginalized communities around the country, and soon around the world. We are a small but growing team, and every person in leadership positions, and the majority of volunteers, has at least one marginalized identity. We are a community-based organization, and the leaders all have shared life experiences with the communities we are striving to empower. We understand the communities we work in because we are part of them (and we do our best to actively listen).
We are looking for folks who are interested in helping with grant writing and/or fundraising. This is a great position for someone looking to get experience in the nonprofit field, perhaps in Development specifically, or maybe you are interested in starting your own nonprofit one day. This is also a great position for someone who is a writer in another field, or perhaps a development professional from a well-funded institution, who wants to use their skills to support their community in a different way.
Volunteers are at the core of ATC operations and are encouraged to take initiative and ownership of the things they are working on. While there may be some general tasks we ask for assistance with, we tailor all volunteer opportunities to your skills and interests as much as possible.
At ATC, we LOVE our volunteers, so we do our best to make volunteering with us accessible, inclusive, convenient, flexible, and impactful. We work to empower our communities, and YOU ARE part of our community, so we want you to feel empowered by your time with us. ATC also provides all interested volunteers with as many training and networking opportunities as possible.
We are fully remote. Volunteers choose when and how much they work, and this can change as your schedule does.
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions at any time!
Notes: ATC does not anticipate having funding for development positions in the near future, however, any paid contracts/positions are always offered to volunteers first. We strive to respond as soon as possible to all questions and inquiries, but we're a very small, very busy organization, and occasionally things slip through the cracks. If for any reason you haven't heard from us within 72 hours, please contact us again! We really do want to hear from you!

Description

A True Change (ATC), is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Denver, Colorado. Minorities with lifelong, rooted connections to Denver's low-income communities of color developed and operate A True Change. ATC works to bridge the gap between the community and systemic challenges preventing success in vulnerable populations.
