Position Objective:We need a Volunteer who has experience in self-publishing book design - specifically someone who can help format the written text and also design the cover and back of the for-print book. We will be using Lulu.com for ebook and print-on-demand so we need someone who can format our book for both, the size is US Trade. If you are interested - please include a sample or portfolio.
Who You Are:You are a graphic editor and designer who finds fun in your work. Your efforts will have a direct impact in helping a not for profit women's professional and personal development organization deliver our message to a wider audience of women who need our services now more than ever.
You will be working directly with the Board of Directors to ensure you are supported and have all the tools you need for success in this endeavor. You will be given a mention in the credits of the book to highlight your input and impact in this meaningful project.
You will have hands-on experience in formatting text for inclusion in both ebook and print-on-demand books.
You will have hands-on experience in designing the front and back cover for US Trade size printed paperback books.
You will be the main point person in charge of this project and will be given a bespoke admin account.
You will be working directly with the Board of Directors including a 1-on-1 weekly virtual meeting with a member of the Board to go over goals.
You will receive a credit in the acknowledgements section of the book to highlight your efforts.
Your will be registered for free as an HBICHQ Member for a year and featured in our Networking Directory.
