Are you a student who is majoring in music? Are you a person who loves to play music and/or sing? Our patients loves music especially the ones in nursing facilities. We are looking for volunteers who will play an instrument for them and/or sing. Not only by volunteering but you also become a powerful voice of advocacy about hospice care when talking to your friends and family. Our Mission...serving people with compassion and dignity. At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually. We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal. Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease loneliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
