Are you looking for a way to become more involved with your community? VEAP is looking for community members willing to serve a three year term starting May 1st, 2021! Our Board of Directors provides leadership and strategic vision while engaging in VEAP's operations in various ways, and are a vital part of our organization.

We are looking for community members who have . . .

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion to eliminate food insecurity and housing instability in our community.
  • A commitment to active participation at up to 8 board meetings per year, to serving on a committee or task team, as well as to attend major fundraising events hosted by VEAP.

Description

VEAP is a basic needs and social services organization whose programs promote access to healthy foods, stable housing and transportation. VEAP’s programs are designed to address a particular need and when used together provide hope and can help avoid a financial crisis such as loss of housing, transportation or employment. Whether the hardship is from a disability, job transition, or the financial and physical stresses of aging, VEAP has been helping our neighbors in need for over 40 years in Bloomington, Richfield, and Edina.
